In a shocking (but not entirely surprising) move, the NFL has spoken out about the controversial call that changed the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. Rules analyst Gene Steratore gave his âfinal verdictâ on the call, and it⌠well, letâs just say it didnât make everyone any happier.

âAfter a thorough review of the tape, we have determined that the call⌠well, itâs actually not important,â Steratore said. âWe know that fans have been arguing about this for weeks, but we decided it would be best if we just let it go and hope people forget about it.â

Of course, fans werenât happy about this. âToo late!â they cried on social media. âWeâve watched that video a million times! We know it was a bad call!â

Some fans even went so far as to suggest that the NFL is trying to protect its image. âThey donât want to admit they made a mistake,â one fan wrote. âIt would make them look bad.â
Itâs unclear at this point whether the NFL will make any changes to its rules. But one thingâs for sure: fans wonât be forgetting this anytime soon.
And in a related development, the NFL also announced that it is developing a new test that can detect whether a referee is biased. âItâs called âThe Truth Serum,ââ an NFL spokesperson said. âAnd it will be available tomorrow.â
